The South African Coalition of Civil Society Organisations (SACOCSO) is a legally registered, non-partisan national civil society platform operating across all nine provinces of South Africa, representing a network of over 750 affiliated civil society organisations.
South Africa has no shortage of activity, talent, or ambition. What it lacks is organisation at scale.
When people, enterprises, and civil society remain fragmented, participation does not translate into productivity, growth, or leverage. SACOCSO was established to address this structural gap by building disciplined organisation where it matters most.
SACOCSO organizes people, enterprises, and civil society organisations into structured platforms that strengthen execution capacity, economic participation, and institutional engagement.
Building leadership discipline, systems thinking, and execution capability so that skills and ambition translate into measurable economic outcomes.
Supporting local enterprises and worker-led initiatives to move from survival to sustainability through improved structure, governance readiness, and growth capacity.
Developing strategic international partnerships that enhance the execution capacity of local enterprises, enabling access to regional and global markets.
Engaging institutions through evidence-based dialogue, ensuring organized enterprises and communities are positioned to participate meaningfully in development frameworks.
SACOCSO is designed around this logic.
SACOCSO is not structured as a loose coalition or a personality-driven organisation. It is governed through a clear, layered institutional architecture designed to ensure stability, credibility, and long-term relevance.
The highest authority of SACOCSO, serving as the custodian of the organization's founding vision, values, and institutional mandate. Constituted by the President, Deputy President, Secretary General, and Treasurer General.

Build Systems — Or Get Stuck in Survival Mode
A 5-Day Economic Execution Intensive for Builders, Not Spectators
Re-engineering One Million African Minds for Execution, Scale, Global Competitiveness, and Relevance
Across Africa, millions are economically active — but few enterprises scale, endure, or create sustained jobs.
Not because of a lack of ideas. Not because of a lack of effort. Not even because of a lack of funding.
But because most people were never trained to build systems, execute consistently, or lead at scale.
ECEDM Africa exists to change that.
Confront the real cost of poor decisions and replace survival thinking with systems thinking.
Build credibility, emotional control, and decision-making discipline under pressure.
Learn how execution actually works — with structure, tracking, and accountability.
A moderated panel with funders, corporates, and development actors — no pitching, no hype, just clarity.
Exposure to accelerators, trade platforms, and global pathways — only after readiness is built.
